Let me mention:
We want to make our prices reasonable so you can enjoy our professional sharpening services without spending all your money. Understanding that sharpening is part of the regular maintenance of all cutting tools will help you better understand why we price our customers the way we do. The concept of servicing/buying more for less is not new and is used by many companies such as Costco, BJ's and others.

There are four main elements that we base our price tag on:
  • Sharpening service
  • Discount
  • Shipping costs
  • Massachusetts sales tax (calculated separately)
Sharpening service involves the use of hand or machine equipment to restore the cutting edge of your knives and tools. Our main goal is to remove as little material as possible so that your favorite tools last longer. We will also clean your set, remove rust, and make your tools look good!

Discounts are based on the number of knives, scissors and other tools you bring in.We sort your orders into four product categories:
1. Knives and utility scissors
2. Beauty scissors
3. Garden and workshop tools
4. Other types of tools

The Other Types of Knives and Tools category includes grooming clipper blades, horse nippers, cable cutters and other tools that don't fit in the first three categories. The more items from the same category you bring, the bigger the discount you will get. It can be as high as 20% (if you buy 21+ knives per order).

Shipping fees are charged upon request. Mr. Sharp can deliver your knives and tools in person for $15 (for Massachusetts residents in the Marlborough area). For our customers who are not local, Mr. Sharp can receive and ship orders via UPS and USPS. There is a postage fee of $23 per order. This fee includes two tracking labels to send your kit to our workshop and return it to you after sharpening.
